My Auction House provides an online platform that enables independent auctioneers and sellers across the UK to host and manage auctions.

By registering, placing a bid, listing an item, or using this platform, you agree to these Terms.

2. Our Role

My Auction House acts solely as a technology platform provider.

We:

  • Provide software and hosting services
  • Facilitate online bidding functionality
  • Support auction event management

We are not the seller of goods listed in auctions hosted on this platform unless explicitly stated.

Contracts for the sale of goods are formed directly between the auction host (seller) and the winning bidder.

3. Registration

To place bids, you must:

  • Register using a valid email address
  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Be 18 years of age or older

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details.

4. Bidding Rules

By placing a bid, you agree that:

  • All bids are legally binding
  • Bids cannot be withdrawn once placed
  • You are committing to purchase the lot if you are the winning bidder

Auction closing times may extend automatically where bids are placed in the final moments of an auction. A common format may include a rolling extension (e.g., two minutes after the last bid), but specific rules are set by the auction host and displayed on each auction listing.

It is your responsibility to review the specific auction rules for each event.

5. Buyer’s Premium & Fees

Commission rates and buyer’s premiums are set by the individual auction host and will be clearly displayed within each auction listing.

My Auction House may receive platform fees from auction hosts.

6. Payments

Payment terms are set by the auction host and will be outlined in your invoice.

My Auction House may facilitate payment processing via secure third-party providers but does not directly handle or store full payment card details.

Goods must not be collected until payment has been confirmed.

7. Collection & Delivery

Collection dates, times and delivery arrangements are determined by the auction host.

These may vary between auctions.

My Auction House is not responsible for:

  • Storage of goods
  • Collection logistics
  • Delivery arrangements
  • Disputes relating to item condition

8. Auction Host Responsibility

Auction hosts are responsible for:

  • Accurate descriptions of items
  • Legal ownership of goods
  • Compliance with UK consumer and trading laws
  • Managing payments and fulfilment

My Auction House does not verify item authenticity unless explicitly stated.

9. Prohibited Conduct

Users must not:

  • Submit fraudulent bids
  • Manipulate auction outcomes
  • Use false identities
  • Interfere with platform functionality

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where misuse is suspected.

10. Platform Availability

We aim to ensure continuous access to the platform but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

My Auction House shall not be liable for:

  • Technical interruptions
  • Website downtime
  • Data transmission errors
  • Delays caused by third-party providers

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • My Auction House shall not be liable for disputes between buyers and sellers
  • We are not responsible for item condition, authenticity, or legality
  • Our liability is limited to the value of any platform fees paid directly to us

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where unlawful to do so.

12. Intellectual Property

All platform software, branding, design and content belonging to My Auction House remains our intellectual property.

Auction hosts retain rights to their own listings and content.

No content may be reproduced without written permission.

13. Data Protection

All personal data is processed in accordance with our:

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time.

Continued use of the platform following updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
