After over a decade of running live and online auctions we decided the time was right to continue with our expansion and move into Phase Three of the business.   Nigel had always had the idea to make the auction model accessible to a wider range of people throughout the UK, so they could have the same success and the chance to either start a new business or add  to an already established one.

Initially we were not sure how this would look, but we knew we had created a successful business model that could easily be shared.  Over the years as the auction rapidly grew, the seed of the idea began to develop but, at the same time, we were becoming so busy with the auctions,  it was difficult to find the time to address it and the ideas were always being pushed to the back burner. 

Year Ten of running the auctions was definitely a significant milestone for us;  we took the decision to step away from the day to day running and began to invest our time and money into  building the vision.  

This only happened with the input of different people we met along the way; sometimes a chance meeting would lead to a discussion, a recommendation and introductions to positive, knowledgeable and supportive people; all of whom we were very pleased to find on the Isle of Wight.

  • We then met the amazing Effie Moss;  effiemoss.com  she understood and validated our rough ideas and turned them into a polished and organised business model. 
  • For the final piece we needed the technical know-how to complete the vision.  This came in the shape of Matt and Shane from Brightbulb, https://brightbulbdesign.co.uk/   We already had a very good website but the new side of the business demanded significant changes and updates; with Brightbulb and Effie working together on this the circle was complete and we are excited for our launch in April 2026.

Although our background is in vintage, antique and household items we wanted the new website to be used by anyone wishing to sell through an auction model. Over the years we have had interest in our business from a wide range of people with a particular interest or passion.  With these people in mind we have built a website that can cater for any item at any level; whether that is cars, houses, boats, jewellery, toys, books… it can only be limited by your goals and imagination.
